Unmatched is a skirmish game that pits iconic characters against each other, each with their own combat style, strengths, and weaknesses.
The core set offers four heroes, but numerous expansions allow for an ever-increasing variety of battles.
This second volume of Unmatched allows you to embody Achilles, Bloody Mary, Sun Wukong, and Yennenga. Each hero in this expansion has cards that grant a bonus attack, allowing the combatant to perform two attacks in a single Attack action.
In each round, players must perform two actions out of three available. Moving miniatures on the game board, attacking, or schemes: actions are driven by the cards in your hand. These cards allow you to attack, defend, or activate special abilities related to your hero powers. Alice can grow or shrink, Medusa can petrify her opponents, etc.
The confrontations are as fast as they are fierce, with a fluid and intuitive turn order. Each player must find the best position on the battlefield to attack the opponent in melee or at range. Attack and defense cards are played face down, and damage taken can be modified by the text of the cards played. Suspense is thus total until the cards in play are revealed, a moment always full of tension.
With its four iconic characters and double-sided game board, Unmatched offers unique gameplay sensations, allowing you to experience the intensity of skirmish gaming in a much more compact and accessible format. Offering immediate fun and allowing players to discover heroes' abilities over battles, Unmatched generates ultra-intense and always varied games. The many announced and already released expansions will also bring their share of new features, for even more varied, high-adrenaline battles.
