The Tapestry base game is required to use this expansion
In Tapestry, players have the daunting task of creating and developing a fictional civilization. Starting from its dawn to a future era, players must consider how to make their civilization prosper as efficiently as possible. Four development paths are possible: Science, Technology, Exploration, and Warfare. Other actions are also to be completed to gain points, such as increasing your income or building a capital. Choose from a variety of new civilizations, fulfill unique objectives to build monuments on your capital, and interact cunningly with your opponents in this first Tapestry expansion.
Gameplay
Tapestry's gameplay mechanism is based on a system of tile-laying on a common board for all players and worker placement on an individual board. It also incorporates a hand management dimension and an exponential scoring system based on choices made throughout the game. Tapestry is a strategic game with a high degree of replayability. The game also includes a solo mode.
The game unfolds over several turns. A player has two possible actions: either the player collects their income and starts a new era, or they advance their Player token by following several steps. The player who has developed the wealthiest civilization wins the game. The game ends at different times for each player. For a player, the game ends when they complete their 5th and final income turn. When all players have completed their last turn, the one with the most accumulated points is declared the winner.
