The Closest Wins
Nine categories, nine medals divided among the different teams (2 to 4), nine question categories: Athlete (sport), Globetrotter (geography), Fan (cinema and music), Scholar (Arts and literature), Wacky (unusual facts), Historian (genealogy, historical figures), Observer (questions on customs and traditions), Minister (world news), Scientist (biology, physics, etc.).
The active team chooses a theme and all teams discuss to find the answer, then write it on their slate. Once a team has done so, the others have only 10 seconds left to answer.
Then, the team that is closest to the answer wins. If the medal for the theme is with opponents, they reclaim it. If they already possessed this medal, they can hang it around the neck of one of their players, it can no longer be stolen by competitors, it is blocked. If the number is exact, the medal is immediately hung around the neck!
The team with the most blocked medals at the end of the game wins.
