Encyclopedia is a dice placement and set collection game set at the turn of the 18th century. Players embody naturalists, traveling the world to study animals before publishing their discoveries.
Each turn, players roll dice and use the values and/or colors of their dice (or those of other players) to perform a variety of actions: collecting funds from the bank, seeking help from the royal academy, researching animals, going on expeditions, and more!
Players earn points not only by publishing their research, but also by hiring experts, improving their reputation among their peers, and optimizing their actions. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.
