At the start of the game, all players receive the same number of cards representing monuments, inventions, etc. The back of each card shows a date.
Timeline Inventions, how to play?
To start, a card is drawn at random from the cards not dealt to the players. It is placed in the center of the table with the date side visible and forms the starting point of a chronological line that will gradually be completed by the players.
The first player then chooses one of their cards. If they think that the invention date on their card is earlier than that of the initial card, they place their card to the left of the latter. If they believe their invention was created later, they place their card to the right of the initial card. The player's card is then flipped over, date side visible.
If they are correct, it stays in place. Otherwise, their card is discarded, and they must draw another to replace it.
The more cards placed, the harder it is to place new ones without making a mistake! The first player to run out of cards wins.
