The Mind - The Seer
The Mind is divisive, to say the least. The Mind - The Seer is certainly the game that will get everyone on board!
You play like in The Mind with the following differences:
- At the beginning of each level, one player (the Seer) sees part of the cards and reveals one or more visions on a slate.
- Cards are played face down.
- The Seer checks the played pile and adds a new vision in case of an error.
- A level is only passed if it is successful.
Why does it appeal to skeptics?
Because often these skeptics are the most competitive players, who can't stand the "loss of control" aspect of The Mind. To win, they can't rely on their own skill; they depend on others and must accept to go with the flow. Not satisfying enough for them.
In The Seer:
- The Seer's role requires making choices, and thinking about what others will think.
- For the other players, the Seer's visions must be interpreted. A mix of deduction and logic.
All of this finally provides something for players who were just waiting for it... And this reassuring entry point will finally allow them to experience the intense pleasures of The Mind:
- Those hesitations, eye-to-eye, to know who should play the next card.
- The seamless progression, without the slightest hesitation, of all the cards in hand that seem to sort themselves out.
- The joy of a flawless round, on the first try, even when playing face down.
And what does it bring to The Mind fans?
New sensations.
In addition to having to feel, you now have to deduce and use logic.
In addition to having to sense others, you will also have to understand the Seer's intentions... And what these visions provoke in your partners.
Even more fun for the fans!
