In the game That's Not A Hat, you give each other gifts and try to remember who owns which gift in front of them at any given moment.
If you're not sure what the object in front of you is, you'll have to bluff convincingly enough to avoid losing points.
Each of you will take a gift from the pile in the middle of the table. One player will take a second gift and show it to all players. Then, turn over all your gifts. You will then offer this new gift to one of your neighbors. As you hand the card to the designated player, state what you are giving them: "Here, I have a magnificent... for you."
The person receiving the gift then has two options: either accept it or refuse it. If the player receiving the gift believes that the announced gift is the one hidden on the front of the card, they can accept it! If they refuse, they simply say, "That's not a...!" If the player is wrong, they place their card in front of them to indicate that they have lost 1 point!
And so on, until one player ends up with 3 gifts in front of them!
