Players embody courtiers of the Japanese emperor. They take care of his Giant Panda by tending to a bamboo garden.
Their mission: cultivate plots of land, irrigate them, and grow green, yellow, or pink bamboo. On their turn, they roll the weather die and apply its effects (bonus or penalty) before performing two different actions from these possibilities: acquire a plot or an irrigation, grow bamboo, feed the panda, or draw an objective card.
The game ends when a player has completed 7 to 9 objectives (depending on the number of players). The player with the highest score, by adding up their completed objective points, wins.
