A pure bluff game. With skulls!
To play, place a Skull mat face up in front of you. Then take a deck of 4 identical cards in your hand, always hiding their faces from other players.
Each player then places a Rose or Skull card face down on their mat, starting with the first player. The latter can either place a second card or issue a challenge. If they do not place a second card, the other players can place one, until a player challenges their comrades by announcing the number of cards in play they intend to turn over.
The other players can then raise the bet or pass their turn. The highest bidder (the "challenger") then turns over the announced number of cards one by one, starting with their own card(s).
If a skull (Skull card) appears, their challenge is lost and they lose one of their cards, drawn from their hand by the opponent whose Skull they turned over. If they landed on their own Skull, they choose the discarded card. The challenger is the only one who knows which card has been removed from their hand. If they only turned over roses, they win their challenge. They then turn their mat face up to show the Rose side.
If they have already won a challenge, they win the game. Otherwise, players take back their cards and a new round begins.
