In the game Pontu, the goal is to isolate all of your opponent's pawn(s).
In turn, players must move one of their pawns one square by crossing a bridge. Then they remove a bridge of their choice. Two pawns cannot occupy the same square. The first player who no longer has a bridge around all their pawns is eliminated.
If a player's pawn cannot move (e.g., an opponent's pawn blocks movement), they are not considered eliminated. If this is the player's last pawn, the player can still remove a bridge without moving their pawn. Variant: On their turn, a player must move one of their pawns one square and either remove a bridge or rotate a bridge a quarter turn on the axis of a square.
