In the game Nouvelles Contrées, players explore any novel from their library!
At the beginning of the game, players set up their Camp, represented by a bookmark, somewhere near the beginning of the book. They must advance it until they reach the Lost City bookmark, placed further along the book.
Each turn, one of the players, the Scout (the reader), reads a short passage from the book and secretly associates it with one of the four Exploration bookmarks (from 32 beautifully illustrated ones) displayed in the center of the table. The other players try to identify the same bookmark as the explorer, but also attempt to complete one of the available missions, chosen from 28 (In the excerpt read, are there at least 4 words of 1 to 3 letters? Are there at least 3 capitalized words? Are the words "He" and "They" absent? etc.).
As successes accumulate, the camp's bookmark advances until it reaches the Lost City bookmark (there are 5 different ones) and uncovers the hidden meaning of the book!
The box also offers 5 variants/modules, and even pawns for an upcoming release.
