An ideal title for an introduction to modern board games, Carcassonne is the progenitor of a large family consisting of expansions, standalone games… and a new addition, My First Carcassonne, which revitalizes the range by making it accessible from age 4!
At the start of the game, all landscape tiles are divided into several stacks, and each player receives 8 pawns of their color. A tile indicating the starting point of the landscape is placed in the center of the table.
On their turn, a player draws a random tile from any stack and places it in contact with an already placed tile. Tiles must be placed logically (road next to road, landscape next to landscape...) and cannot touch solely by the corner. A road is completed when both its ends are delimited by a wall, a house, a lake, etc.
As soon as a road is completed, players place a pawn on each child of their color represented on the tiles making up that road. The game ends when a player has placed all their pawns on the landscape tiles. This player wins.
