Lotta Rome is a tactical tile-laying and puzzle game for 2 to 5 players.
Play as one of the clan leaders sharing the lands of the Roman Empire.
Trade territories with other players and anticipate their preferences to your advantage.
Make the right choices to get gems and the best lands.
The game takes place over four rounds, each divided into 4 phases.
All players perform their actions simultaneously.
1) EXPLORATION: Each player randomly draws 5 Land tiles and places 1 building on the first 2.
2) DIVISION: Behind their screen, players will divide these 5 tiles into 2 lots of their chosen size: 3 and 2 tiles, 4 and 1, or even 5 and… nothing! They add a gem to the smaller lot.
3) SELECTION: Each player chooses the lot that interests them most from the 2 composed by their neighbor (left or right, depending on the turns).
4) ANNEXATION: Players expand their territory by arranging the tiles thus acquired, and those left in front of them by their own neighbor, as best as possible.
At the end of the game, each building earns one point per corresponding tile in adjacent areas. Points awarded by gems are added, and the player with the most points wins the game.
