Become the next King of the Beggars in 16th-century Old Paris... Lead a clan of beggars from "underground Paris," plot, use cunning and opportunism to gain control of Paris!
Tell me, little one, wouldn't you like to be the next KING OF THE BEGGARS?
In La Cour des Miracles, you will lead a clan of beggars or thieves in the Parisian underworld of the 16th century. Your objective will be to establish your notoriety over Paris first, or to be the most influential, once the King of the Beggars has finished his rounds... On your turn, start by choosing a district where you will place one of your Rogue Pawns.
In each district, there are 3 slots where you can place them. The chosen slot will allow you to perform a free action and then, optionally, the optional action associated with the district. Your goal will be to place your men within each district to take control of it.
But be careful! Controlling a district is not without danger... You will also be able to acquire your notoriety permanently. However, this comes at a significant cost! Unless the King reaches the last space of his race first, the first player to place their 6th Renown pawn is declared the winner. Otherwise, the player controlling the majority of districts in Paris will win.
