China is an exotic land, but also a land of power, struggles, and betrayals. There, politics is a serious matter, leaving no room for the weak. Gang of Four is a power game of Chinese origin (derived from Choh Dai Di, a card game as old as Confucius) where players compete with cards and try to eliminate their opponents. All dirty tricks are allowed, and only the most Machiavellian will grow stronger. Each player has a hand of 16 cards, and the goal is to be the first to get rid of them by playing different combinations. Each time a card combination is played, the next player must outbid by playing a stronger one. If they cannot, they pass their turn, losing their chance to discard some cards. When one player plays their last card, the round ends and points are tallied. Then a new round begins until a player reaches 100 points.
