At the beginning of each round, players receive the same number of cards and try to discard them as quickly as possible. On their turn, each player has the opportunity to play a card. If they cannot or do not want to, they must draw one from the deck.
In the card game Frantic, the basic deck consists of colored cards in red, yellow, blue, and green, numbered one to nine. You can play these number cards on top of other numbers or colors.
A player has few cards left? Give them a gift and hand them two cards from your hand. Someone wants you to draw more cards? No, my friend, why don't you take them yourself? Someone wants to end the round? Nice try! Instead, draw three more cards!
Special cards add a vicious twist to the game. They range from a simple swap to a gift—where you can give two cards from your hand to another player—to "Nice Try," which prevents an opponent's victory. You can freely select each special card. And that's precisely what makes the game more personal, more insidious, and above all, funnier.
Black cards give the game its unique flavor. Black cards are not colored cards. They cannot be played on top of each other. They can only be played on the same number or the number that was requested. Each time a black card is played, it activates an event card.
