Discover a new strategic expansion to refresh and enrich your Carcassonne games. In this modern board game classic, you build the game board as you play, using tiles representing the surroundings of Carcassonne. You then place your followers (knights, monks, travelers, farmers...) to gain as many victory points as possible and become the undisputed master of the famous City.
With the Carcassonne Mayors & Messengers expansion, influence the city with 3 new meeples and Town Hall tokens. Mayors, messengers, and scarecrows introduce new ways to score points.
The mayor can be placed in an already occupied city and earn you knights. The town hall, on the other hand, triggers a "crisis meeting": all adjacent mayors are removed from the game without activating their effect. The scarecrow can be placed in meadows and earn you farmers. The messenger, meanwhile, offers unprecedented mobility: placed on a completed road, he can move to another road or city.

This expansion is part of the new 2025 range, featuring new visuals, new mechanics, and adjusted rules to combine even more easily with the base game (required to play). It is compatible with all other expansions (whose boxes form a frieze when aligned). This expansion significantly enriches the dynamics of the base game without overcomplicating its rules. A must-have for Carcassonne fans!
