Danger is a trick-taking game where the hardest part is not earning points, but keeping them until the end. Players build their hand from different piles of cards for the upcoming round. Then, tricks are played: the highest card typically wins over the others. But be careful what you win, because only the lowest value of each ten will score points, and consecutive values will cancel each other out!
Danger, the game
The game consists of 3 rounds, at the end of which the player (among the 3 to 5 participants) who has accumulated the most points will win the game.
At the beginning of each round, 9 cards are dealt to each player. They select 3, and pass the remaining 6 to the player on their left. They select 3 more cards, and pass the rest again. Thus, at the end of this selection phase (draft), everyone ends up with 9 cards in hand.
Then, tricks are played: in turn, clockwise, everyone plays a card from their hand (their choice) and the highest card wins (it's that simple!). But beware, because among the cards you win: only the smallest unit of each ten will score points, and all consecutive values will permanently cancel each other out. Winning a trick could well make you... lose points!
Can you handle the pressure throughout all 3 rounds?
