Citadels is a classic modern card game.
First published in 2000, the game Citadels invites players to build a prestigious medieval city by laying down District cards in front of them. To do this, you will need to call upon the various characters of the city, whose powers you will use each turn.
Thus, each turn, players secretly choose a new character and benefit from the power that derives from their position, such as building faster, destroying a district, assassinating, stealing, filling their treasury, protecting their city, drawing more cards...
This classic version of Citadels is, for the most part, identical to the very first edition, from which it reuses the 8 characters. Only a few District cards have been replaced, and some minor rule points modified or clarified.
