At the turn of the 16th century, after completing the palaces of Evora and Sintra, the king sought to build a summer pavilion. Unfortunately, King Manuel I passed away before construction began. Players return to Portugal to complete this task.
The principle of tiles distributed among the Factories remains the same. You can choose to take all tiles of one color from a factory or from the center, plus one joker tile.
However, here, each player has a 7-part star-shaped board representing the colors in play, each composed of six tiles. Each space has a number from 1 to 6. To place a tile on a space, you must discard a number of tiles of that color (using jokers) equal to the number inscribed on it. You score 1 point for this tile and 1 point for each tile of that star connected to the newly placed one.
After six rounds, a bonus is awarded for each of the seven stars completely filled, and another for covering all spaces of value 1, 2, 3, or 4.
True to its original mechanics, Azul Summer Pavilion perfectly renews the genre and offers a challenging new tactical puzzle.
