At the start of the game, each player receives a reminder card and a scoring card (there are 4 different scoring levels, of increasing complexity). The 120 safari cards are shuffled and placed face down in a draw pile within reach of all players.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe scoring card serves as the starting point for each player's river and also represents the player's favorite (and perhaps hated) animal. The game is played in real-time (it includes app support) and players draw cards face down from the safari pile, flip them over, and add them to their river. The catch is that the back of each safari card depicts 3 animals, but only 2 of them are present on the front of the card.
