Then, clockwise, each player can either pass or raise the bid. The highest bidder pays the full price to their right-hand neighbor, who keeps half of it, rounded up if necessary, and passes the rest to their right-hand neighbor, who again keeps half, rounded up, of what they received and passes the rest to their right-hand neighbor.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe highest bidder chooses one of the cards on sale, then discards a card. It is then the turn of the player to the left of the highest bidder to choose a card, and so on clockwise until all players have taken a card. The auction winner rolls the two dice to determine in which mines gold has been found. The first player to have two concessions in the same city becomes the Mayor. From now on, every time a player takes a Concession card on sale in a city where another player is the Mayor, they must pay the Mayor.
